leaf to frames and furniture using the age-old technique of
Water Gilding. The water leaf process is difficult and is labor-intensive,
yet it is certainly worth the effort. The resulting finish from
our hand-burnished gold leaf reveals a warm, delicate earthy
red undertone to the buttery 22kt layer of gold. Unlike many
mass produced nameplates that are solid gold in appearance,
our nameplates appear to have a slightly distressed and gently aged appearance. Our gilder has been applying gold
leaf for over 17 years and we believe he has perfected the
craft.
